Writing, to me, is simply thinking through my fingers. –Isaac Asimov
Writing has this unsaid ability to connect us and our thoughts from one human being to the next. it is one of the unique qualities we readily poses and quickly forget. Writing has the power to bring a nation together, or to destroy one all together. Take for instance Thomas Paine. He wrote the pamphlet Common Sense. Among other things, This is one of the causes of Colonist sentiment to the British, and the beginning of the Revolutionary War. It is a reason America exists.
But Writing does not just have to be serious. Writing provides a way to express humor, or to tell a tale, such as Dr. Seuss, or Edgar Allen Poe. It can tell of an epic, such as Homer, or The Iliad. Or it can simply relate a message, like a blog or text. No matter how you use it, you require writing in some form of another.
I think that writing is the most important thing we as humans have in communications. It doesn’t matter how you can talk, or how good at it you are. You can only get to a limited audience at once. But with writing, you thoughts, ideas, opinions, you words can reach acrossed the world in text, or electronically in a matter of seconds. And writing will outlast a lifetime, leaving a piece of you behind long after you are gone. Thousands of years from now, the world may be a different place because of one man’s words. That’s how important writing is to the world. So never stop writing-texts, poems, novels, epics. You may not know it, but one day, you words will inspire someone to do great things, whether it be good or bad, you can decide how your words will be written. Only you can write the story as you see fit.
