Typo Equals Best Excuse
“No Peters, I did not do the assignment for a lack of proper subject matter. The so called “classic” has a typo in it, therefore it is no longer legit. Therefore, the assignment could not have been legit. By that logic and by that logic only, you could see why I could not even attempt to complete the assignment in fear of fictionalizing an already fictional version of a book referred to as a “classic”.”
Alright. I’m reading 1984 by George Orwell for a summer assignment to get into my class. On page 33 of the 60th anniversary Edition, I found a typo. “togethed” instead of “together.” It should read together. Anyways, I was explaining my excuse to get out of the assignment all together by way of a typo will completely destroy the entire purpose and meaning of the book and plot.
